We had almost visited a number of places in DOMBIVLI to grab a good bite. Standing in the midst of PHADKE ROAD we were suggesting each other places where could go. Pizza Hut.. Domino's.. Ambika Hotel.. after a couple of suggestion one my friends POOJA said that catchy word "CHIT CHAT". I had never come across this place before. She said that one of her friends had been to this place and seemed to really like it.
We found that this place was just on the other lane adjacent to Phadke Road where we were standing. This venue being in the vicinity of Dombivli Station, it was easy to approach.
Being hungry, we rushed inside this place. It was a hot day so we felt relaxed entering the AC court. I was busy gazing at the wall designs and the interior of this place. And yes, I must say it was pretty attractive, just like a college student would dream of an ideal cafeteria, full of writings and doodles over the wall.
Looking at the menu... It had quite a variety of things in it. Soups, Pizzas and Pastas, Sandwiches and Burgers, Toasts, Garlic Bread and Bruschetta, Wraps, Deserts and the menu went looooooongg.
We took a while to decide. In our group every person orders a different thing from the menu so that we can share and everyone gets to taste a variety of things. Me and my friend RUSHANK ordered the CHIT CHAT SPECIAL WRAP and a SIZZLER named PANEER SHASHILK, my friend SUYOG is very fond of WHITE SAUCE PASTA so he went with that, POOJA ordered CHIT CHAT SPECIAL PASTA, and SANMESH ordered a SIZZLER named PANEER SHEZWAN DRY.
WRAPS AND ROLLS
To talk about the taste, yes it was delightful! Our Wrap (CHIT CHAT SPECIAL WRAP) was cheesy and generously stuffed with Paneer, PASTA and those noodles dripping out of the other side. Not only its taste but its presentation was also too good, one would simply feel hungry by looking at it. This dish has two wraps in it so it may go heavy for a single person and it’s always good to share.
PASTA
I loved the Red sauce pasta (CHIT CHAT SPECIAL PASTA). It came along with a toast by its side which enhanced its appearance as well as its taste. SUYOG was busy enjoying his White Sauce Pasta. And he seemed to really like it.
SIZZLERS
Well now comes the special part- THE SIZZLERS. The Waiter was approaching our table with a hot pan; I still remember that sizzling sound. This sizzler was topped with Paneer in Shashilk Stick and tossed in Garlic Pepper Sauce and served on a bed of Mexican Rice. To be honest we all are a huge fan of Paneer so seeing this dish with hot vapours coming out of it, even after being half filled with Pastas and Wraps we felt utterly tempted to pick those Shashilk Sticks and dig in. We even had a small argument regarding the sharing of those Paneer sticks. Yes! It was really that tempting and tasty.
DESSERTS
At the end to we completed our course by ordering three DESSERTS- THE HOT BROWNIE and THE SIZZLING BROWNIE 1920 and MOUSSE. To describe the CHOCOLAVA, it was a piece of hot brownie topped with a huge scoop of VANILLA ICE-CREAM. The waiter poured hot chocolate over the cold ice-cream and again we could hear the sizzling sound. The SIZZLING BROWNIE 1920 tasted really strong but I felt this particular dish a bit over-rated.
With tummies all filled and hearts all satisfied we paid the bill. We even got a DISCOUNT being college students by showing our IDs.
